Founded in 2012, Caroga Lake Music Festival, a summer music festival based in Caroga Lake, New York, is a series of performances and community outreaches in the Adirondacks (NY), Hudson Valley (NY), New York City and throughout the Northeast. Attracting audiences locally and nationwide, Caroga Lake Music Festival is dedicated to increasing accessibility to chamber music, cultivating creative and interactive experiences and showcasing some of the world's top professional artists from the U.S. and abroad.The multi-genre programming makes this festival unique and exciting; from classical music to contemporary music and from small ensembles to orchestras. The festival features well-established instrumentalists and vocalists coming from across the world. These artists have individually performed on National Public Radio, won top prizes at various International Music Competitions and are graduates or current students from the world's leading conservatories and members in prestigious orchestras and small ensembles nationwide.The festival has performed in renowned venues such as St. John Divine Cathedral (NYC), Proctors Theater, Saratoga Performing Arts Center, Old Dutch Church-Sleepy Hollow, Caroga Chapel and more. In addition to their traditional setting performances, the musicians engage the community through performing at non-traditional concert venues such as the Canada Lake Store 'Barge', Sherman's Amusement Park, Vrooman's Inn and Bar, Nick Stoner Inn and Tavern and Mettabee Farm among others. The festival has been showcased by presenters throughout the Northeast and has performed pre-concerts for Yo-Yo Ma, Keith Lockhart, David Finckel, Wu Han, The Philadelphia Orchestra and more.Caroga Lake Music Festival also serves an annual residency at the SUNY Fulton-Montgomery Community College Summer Academy program and the Nigra Center for Creative Arts. Most recently, the festival performed in Nyon, Lausanne and Geneva, Switzerland as part of a residency with Conservatoire Ouest Vaudois (COV) in Nyon, Switzerland.
